400Hz AC Output GPU

This type gound power unit provides 400 Hz 115/200V 3-phase alternating current power and it is particularly vital for larger business jets and commercial aircraft, which require a consistent 400 Hz power supply for safe and efficient servicing. Noyark 400Hz AC GPU is available in various capacity ratings from 20 kVA to 180 kVA.

28V DC Output GPU

Noyark supplies 28 VDC ground power units based on solid-state technology. These high-frequency units deliver 28 volt direct current power required by many smaller aircraft and military applications. AC & DC Combi Output GPU

Noyark dual output, solid-state ground power unit supplies simultaneous 400Hz AC and 28V DC power from a single unit. By combining the output of two GPUs into a single static unit, the configuration reduces operating and maintenance costs, as well as, conserving valuable space on the ramp and in hangars thus easing congestion.

Static GPU

Solid state ground power units convert electrical power from the grid into the correct voltage and frequency required by aircraft. Solid-state GPUs can be connected to a standard 380V to 415V 3 phase 50Hz mains or other.

Battery Powered GPU

Battery powered ground power units are referred to as eGPUs. They uses rechargeable batteries to storage the energy, with zero local emissions, no noise pollution during operation. Ideal for remote areas with no fixed power infrastructure.

Diesel Powered GPU

Where the load type is inductive in nature, such as motors (fans, pumps, etc), solenoids, and relays, it is essential that high inrush current and short-time overload factors are fully considered

 

With motors (without a soft start facility) typically drawing on start-up current 5 to 7 times the stated rating of the motor.

 

Determine the GPU Type. Noyark GPUs are available in mobile, towable, boarding bridge-mount, or fixed configurations, accommodating a variety of applications. Understanding the different types of ground power units is crucial for selecting the right equipment for your specific aviation needs.

 

Calculate the kVA Rating. 3-phase kVA calculation: voltage x amperage x 1.732 / 1,000; 1-phase kVA calculation: voltage x amperage / 1,000.

 

Determine the Input (primary) and Output (secondary) Voltage. Input voltage is the voltage of the source electricity that needs to be changed, output voltage is the voltage being supplied by the GPU. For aircrafts use, the voltage is normally 115/200vac or 28vdc.

 

Choose the Right Phase Number. 1-phase power is found in homes and small buildings, while 3-phase power is found in larger commercial and industrial settings.

 

Determine the Input (primary) and Output (secondary) Frequency. Input frequency is the frequency of the source electricity that needs to be changed, output frequency is the frequency being supplied by the GPU. GPU outputs 400Hz to aircrafts.

 

Determine the Input and Output Cable. Do you need it? how many meters you need it? Do you need a built-in or separate cable coiler?

 

Choose Suitable Protection Degree. IP20, IP44, IP54, etc.

 

Identify Installation Conditions. It is necessary to know: stationary or mobile use; indoor or outdoor installation; floor or bridge mounted; installation site altitude and climatic characteristics; ambient temperature.
